The Cult of the Many Eyes are a mysterious group a monks. Their symbol is he inverse of Sahlen's, a center star with broken connects to six orbs. They worship the power held by Kloht, but do not understand him on a spiritual level. They are said to have infiltrated every society, race, and government on Sahl. After the fall of Copperforge, it is reveald that the members are not true cultists of Kloht; they do not worship him, they drain his power to use as a battery.

The Whitesails and general populace of Raufel do not see them as a threat, only as simple monks. They are responsible for hiring Kord's gang to conduct a series of robberies in Raufel .  The goal of which was to collect all the pieces of a particular green gem in the city.  The members of the gang are bound to the contract by a single black metal coin that causes them to disintegrate if the fail at the task or reveal too much information about it.

The Black Cloaks are revealed to be followers of the death god Kloht by Jerrot Valmir. Their goal is to capture and kill the fallen Sahlite, much like they did in Copperforge, 17 years before. Two of the gnomes killed at that time were Starheart's parents: Bak and Iris Flintborne. The same night, two children of Kloht were either bound (Kelrek) or had their corporeal body destroyed (Kloch).

A black cloak was killed by Tenoch, Ora, Bubo, and Nitsuj in the Thornbrush Forest after it has created a horrific version of a heartbeast. A high ranking member of the cult is said to have infiltrated Copperforge, but no one knows their identity: Snips Cutlass. Hush alerts the group to his identity and they kill him. On his body the find a scroll with the location of the severed arm of the Copperforge Sahlite.

After the fall of Copperforge, several cultists find the party in Thatchweed. They want to take the starheart gem from Starheart. They are all killed, but not before one reveals that they have captured the Sahlite on a black ship and are sailing west with her. He also reveals that they are not true cultists of Kloht; they do not worship him, they drain his power to use as a battery. A cultist named Gelk has ordered the capture of all starheart gems.
