Helis, "The Farmer," was a male Quai-Lem who was banished from the Green Isles over a thousand years ago. He was one of the first to be banished by Belk Irwe, King of the Quai-Lir.
Compelled to travel north to the Glasslands, Helis was able to develop ways for plants to survive the bitter cold of the north, helping the Quai-Lem to survive. At some point he returned to the first stone on the path to the Glasslands and sacrificed himself so another Quai could live.
